A playlist for you, curated by you.
Sensorium is an audio app, which presents you with a playlist based on the emotion you enter. Sensorium syncs with your favourite music streaming app, and categorises songs into different emotional categories based on your reactions to each song. In essence, it is a playlist for you and your feelings, curated by you. Sensorium is the app to come back to when you need a joyful company in moments of happiness, to find calm in moments of anger and frustration, to seek comfort on days of sadness, and many more.
Sensorium is the parts of the brain or the mind concerned with the reception and interpretation of sensory stimuli. Broadly, it is the entire sensory apparatus. The app is named Sensorium as it aims to connect with users beyond the auditory elements of music, and establishes connections between audio and personal emotions and experiences of individuals. Sensorium is intended for general audience who seek emotional comfort in music.
The work was designed in response to a university brief, which asked to develop illustrations for use in digital applications.
